Royal Mail Price Increase

As many of you will have already seen, or heard, Royal Mail are increasing their prices again on 31st March 2025. Whilst all mail prices are increasing, the most significant increase is on 'large letter' size items. This is our most commonly used size to send hooks, fly tying materials, small accessories, leaders, etc., so the increase will have a noticeable impact on us.
Over the years we have been trading we have absorbed the, what are now regular, price increases brought in by Royal Mail so as to keep our postage charges competitive and to give our customers value for money. Unfortunately, with the latest increases coming in on Monday 31st March, we have to make adjustments to our shipping charges, not to profit from them, but simply to cover our costs and enable us to continue to provide you with the quality of service that we already do.
The key changes to our shipping prices, from Monday 21st March 2025, are
UK Orders - 2nd Class Shipping
Orders below £12.00 - £2.00 charge (was £9.99 and £1.50 charge)
Orders £12.00 or above - FREE UK Shipping
UK Orders - 1st Class Shipping
Orders below £20.00 - £2.50 charge (was £14.99 and £2.00 charge)
Orders £20.00 or above - FREE UK Shipping
International Orders
European and Worldwide shipping is charged according to weight and is calculated at checkout. Please contact us using the button below if you would like us to quote you a delivery charge prior to ordering.
We do not like increasing costs to our customers but, given the magnitude of the Royal Mail price increases, we simply had no option but to make small increases as keeping the status quo would have been impossible for us to maintain. We still think, even at the new shipping costs, we offer a very competitive shipping rates compared to many companies, and a very low threshold to qualify for free shipping. We will also be increasingly using RM Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 services to provide you with a superior tracked postal service and notifications for scheduled delivery times.

The rises that Ian has announced are not entirely unexpected. They were one of the few companies still offering such competitive and reasonable rates without having to spend huge amounts.
